artradie Artist Agreement - artradie Aotearoa

The Gallery Model: artradie acts as your agent to showcase and sell your artwork online. To keep the gallery exclusive and highly visible, we cap the active website display at 30-40 artworks at any given time.
The Rolling Queue: Once your artworks are approved, they enter our curation pool. As pieces sell on the website, new works from the pool are automatically rotated live.

Listing Term: Accepted artworks are listed with the gallery for a six-month (26-week) term. To ensure fairness, individual pieces that live on artradie cannot be listed for sale on other commercial platforms at the same time.
Pricing: You set the retail price. This price must be consistent with what the work would sell for on your own channels or in a physical gallery.

No Upfront Costs: There are no subscription fees or listing charges.
The Split: artradie charges a flat 25% service fee (plus GST) on the retail price when a work sells. You receive 75% of the sale.
Payout Window: Earnings are transferred to your bank account within 10 business days after delivery, upon confirmation that the customer has successfully received and accepted the artwork.

Your Details: You provide the high-quality photos, dimensions, and descriptions for your work, ensuring all details are accurate. Please refer to: artradie Submission Guidelines.
Your Copyright: You retain 100% of the copyright for your images and artwork at all times. You grant artradie permission to use your photos to promote and sell your work on our website and social media.

5. Logistics & Shipping

Fulfilment: When a work sells, you are responsible for securely packaging it for transport and delivery. Shipping costs will be determined by the Artist and the buyer.
Ownership: You retain full ownership of the artwork until it is successfully delivered to the buyer.

Keeping it Fresh: To keep artradie’s gallery collection fresh and dynamic across our 26-week cycle, works that reach the end of their listing term without a sale may be entered into a special online auction organised by artradie.
Your Control: Participation is entirely optional. Your work will only be included with your explicit permission, and you retain full control by setting a pre-agreed “reserve price” (the minimum amount you are willing to accept for the sale).

Mediation: If a buyer raises an issue (such as transit damage), artradie will step in to mediate. We will work with you in good faith to find a fair solution.
Direct Communication: Any disagreements between you and artradie will be resolved first through open, informal conversation.
If a dispute cannot be resolved between artradie and you within 30 days, both parties agree to explore formal independent mediation in Aotearoa New Zealand.
